Self Build Home Automation

Hi,
     We have started a page on Home Automation and would like your suggestions which home appliances or services you would like to control with an App on your phone!

Latest Smartphones are getting even better!    (Editors Note) I have just upgraded my Android Phone to a HTC one (M8) and am pleased to report that it has an Infrared remote built into the device that can operate TV's, Hi-Fi, Cable/ Satelite boxes in fact anything that can be controlled by Infrared.! ....it also sports 2 rear Camera's (and flash) that can take a kind of 3D effect picture or Re-Focus after the shot, early performance is very good and I am well pleased!
